My customers have fallen in love with this bean.  Taste wise, it gives a very round smooth medium body, a deep fruity flavour; with hints of dry white wine on the finish, great to get you out of the house in the morning.

Maragogype is one of the so-called ‘heirloom' coffees, a very original plant that was cultivated for flavour. A Maragogype coffee bush may produce less than 1kg of green coffee a year whereas one of the newer high-yield hybrids varietals will easily produce three times as much.

The beans, however, are unique for their very large size hence the status ‘elephant beans.
