The first EVER espresso stovetop....Back in 1933 after a few years at the design bench, Alfonso Bialetti created the first stovetop espresso machine after watching women using the first washing machines, and still use the same design today. 

I was once asked by a 20yr old student.  "Why do the Bialetti machines go on forever and the cheap spanish models last about 1 summer?"
